Taking a step back

For those of you who visit my site and to those new people that come across it you may have noticed I havn’t been adding much new work. I have taken a step back to look at my work and what art means to me.  The for sure aspect that I know is that I must create in one way or another and the way I have decided to do that for now is by participating in the international moly exchange group on flickr. This project is pushing me to develop my creativity and drawing / painting skills and has given me a breathe of fresh air. Which mean that I am currently designing a shoot and will hopefully be ready  within the next week or so. I have decided that it is better to shoot less and more planed out than to shoot just to be producing work that I end up not being happy with and putting me in a situation I do not want to be in as where it takes the direction of my work. So with that enjoy my first entry in moly exchange 38:

This photograph is part of another series of images I am working entitled Cunningham’s Rarities.

Cunningham was a tycoon in the early 1930’s and was afforded the opportunity to travel all over the world. Cunningham loved to photograph all the strange and wonderful rarities he came across. This one is a fortune teller / gypsy from Transylvania.
